What will you study?

20-Hour Weekend TEFL Course

Our popular weekend TEFL courses are fun and interactive, run by knowledgeable, friendly and experienced tutors. In just two days, you’ll study and practice how to plan and deliver English lessons, and get to know lots of handy TEFL activities you can use in your own classes.

50-Hour Online TEFL Course

This course covers the theory of teaching English as a foreign language in greater depth. Work through the course at your own pace and with the help of your personal tutor. You will learn how to understand your students’ needs, manage your classes, and get your students communicating in English.

30-Hour Online Grammar Course

TEFL Scotland’s highly recommended grammar course covers all parts of English grammar that you can expect to deal with as you start your TEFL career. This includes nouns, verbs, tenses, conditionals and more. Practice your new found knowledge on fun activities and get any help you need from our Grammar Guru.

20-Hour Online Video Course

This course features videos of real TEFL lessons, which you study along with your personal tutor to improve your lesson planning and delivery. Best studied after an online TEFL or classroom course, this gives you the chance to see how the activities you have studied are put into practice.

10-Hour Telephone Teaching Course

One of the most popular areas for TEFL jobs, telephone teaching is a method of English lessons used across the world. This course will train you in the differences between telephone teaching and classroom teaching, and give you a specialist qualification that will give your CV a real boost.

10-Hour Teaching Large Classes Course

Especially useful for anyone wanting to teach in the Far East or to volunteer with TEFL, the Teaching Large Classes course covers the differences and challenges of dealing with classes of students above 20 students. You will learn advanced classroom management techniques, how to plan lessons for large groups and how to create a community learning atmosphere in your class.
