TEFL courses and jobs for teaching English abroad

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival TEFL Winner

We had a great few days at the Belladrum festival near Inverness. The rain stayed off most of the time and at times I could even let go of the tent to stop it from blowing away.

Well, we ran a competition for a weekend TEFL course and the lucky winner is Arlene from Forres. Here's a little bit about her...

I am 34 years old and graduated from the PGCE course at Aberdeen University in 2007. I completed my NQT year at Portsoy Primary and have since secured a temporary Primary Teacher post at Mosstodloch Primary School. It is very difficult to find a permanennt job in Moray or the Highlands and though I do not currently have any firm plans to travel, if an opportunity were to I arise I might be tempted to take it! I'm also interested in the course as it would enable me to help teach children who are schooled in Scotland and have English as their second language. Especially as we did not receive any training for this on the post graduate course.
