Clare off to Shanghai
Posted by Clare McGarr - 12:20 on 22 October 2009
As per request I have included a bit about what I have been doing since completing the TEFL course in June.
My name is Clare McGarr and I am 23yrs old. During the summer I had my first experience of TEFL by working for the International Summer School in Kent. It was a 3 week programme where I taught students from the age of 10 - 16, of varying nationalities and levels as well as take them for activities and on excursions including trips to London.
I am a qualified Primary teacher but work is thin on the ground so I started to look again for more TEFL work and I am now preparing for my next job which starts in Jan and will be in Shanghai teaching for Disney English.
Disney has created schools with state of the art equipment and resources to teach children from 2 - 12 in the most fun, interactive way possible and I cannot wait to get out there.

“Our tutor made us feel at ease while still filling us full of information and providing us with the skills we may need for teaching in almost any situation. The whole weekend was better (and less scary!) than expected.” Laura Haig, Fife
