Colette in Korea
Colette was on the Glasgow course back in October, she was interviewed by the Sunday Mail, you can see it below or on the Sunday Mail web site
When Colette, 23, couldn't find work teaching in Scotland she decided to try her luck abroad. Colette, of Dalmally, Argyll, moved to Korea three months ago.
The job: I teach English to children in Ansan, an hour from Seoul.
How I did it: I trained in physiotherapy but it wasn't what I wanted so I decided to do a PGCE in teacher training.
Last year there was a 40 per cent reduction in English teaching posts so a friend suggested a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) course. I never imagined in my wildest dreams I would one day be working in Korea. Everyone here learns English. They see it as essential to getting on in business.
Five-year plan: I came out here to get experience. My boyfriend David will join me in the summer.
Perks: Getting out and seeing the world has been nothing but positive for me.
