I'm planning on going to France next year, hopefully to teach for a few months. As I'd only be going for a short time, does anybody know of any schools which would be willing to take people on for jsut a few months? Can anybody recommend a good place to work? For the area as well as the school?

Hi honey,
I worked in Northern France, well Picardie, nice but a little too like UK for my liking! I'd head south and west towards the Atlantic Coast. The Vendee, Charente Maritime somewhere around there. There should be opportunities in this area due to the tourism available. Also in France there are 2 types of contract. Generally people want the one that puts them on an indeterminate contract but it would probably suit you to take the less popular (with employees!) contract as this allows you, probaly, to have greater flexibility.
Hope this helps.

Hello. I now have my 100 hours of TEFL including the 50-hour online course, a weekend course and the 30-hour grammar course, so I'm ready to teach English in France. I speak French almost fluently (though I learnt it in Canada so I'll need to get used to European French), and I have a 2:1 honours degree. My ideal region would be Alsace, because as well as learning French, I am a beginner with German, and so it would be nice to live close enough to the border to nip across from time to time. Can anyone suggest any language schools who I could contact ? Alsace isn't the only place I would consider, I'd be happy to teach in other regions too. Kind wishes, Richard
