Hi, I am considering taking a TEFL course as I sort of feel like I need some time abroad (too long in one place I guess) and I thought teaching English would be nice and practical at the same time. I so much more love English than I ever liked German (my mother tongue).
However, being a single mum, I wondered If anyone else in that situation has taken the plunge. If so, how have you dealt with your children, did they cope easily in a new school? My son is in P3 now, before starting school he only spoke German, but has adapted without problems and even has the best vocabulary in his class, he did not need bi-lingual support either.
First I was think of going to Austria (as I speak German obviously) but really I would like or I am considering Hungary, but the language barrier "frightens" me a bit, and being in a place where I don't speak the language and having no-one with me to help......

I guess I just need some words of support from someone who has either done it or is planning in doing it......

Looking forward to/ hoping for some replies...
best
Annette
