ILA Courses with TEFL Scotland – FAQ
Want to know more about getting ILA funding on your TEFL course? Here are some common questions about ILA Scotland, the application process and ILA courses with TEFL Scotland.
Am I eligible for ILA funding?
To get funded ILA courses, you must be over 16, earning less than £22,000 per year and ordinarily resident in Scotland. If you fit these three criteria, then you can get £200 of ILA funding.
According to ILA Scotland, Ordinarily resident means that you live in Scotland year after year by choice, apart from temporary or occasional absences such as holidays or business trips. Living here totally or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education may not count as being ordinarily resident. If you are not a UK national, you must be settled in Scotland (as set out in the Immigration Act 1971) immediately before the date on which you made your application.
How much funding can I get?
With ILA funding, you get a set amount of £200 towards an eligible course, including any TEFL Scotland course.
