Miss Rachael
I was born in the depths of South West Scotland, in a tiny village near Dumfries. I moved to Edinburgh when I was 18 to go to university, where I studied for an MA in English Language. After graduating I spent a couple of years working in bookshops before taking the plunge into EFL teaching – and I haven’t looked back since.
My first teaching post was in Poland, in a little town called Torun. I remember how terrifying those first lessons were – so find it really easy to identify with new teachers. I spent 3 years in Poland where, as the only Scottish teacher, I became famous for my ‘Scotland’ lessons! I’ve also spent time teaching in the UK, including one post as Director of Studies. No two days are ever the same when you’re an EFL teacher….
