Mr Simon

TEFL Tutor Simon

I was born in Huddersfield and studied in Sheffield where I got a BA (Hons) in the History of Art, Design and Film. After this, I moved to Paris in 1987 and then moved to Scotland in 1998. I’ve taught all over; in Paris, Beijing, New York, Harrogate even Paisley and Glasgow. I am a qualified CELTA trainer with a Trinity College certificate and diploma.

I love TEFL because it’s intellectually stimulating work which provides a huge variety of people, locations and settings. From the host of a French TV quiz show to the doorman of CBGBs I’ve taught them all.

Favourite food
Hmm, my favourite food ... when in Paris oysters, when in Beijing dim sum, when in New York bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese, when in Scotland clootie dumpling.

Hobbies
Cycling, hillwalking, vinyl record collecting, book reading.

Favourite holiday destination
Corsica

Favourite music
Krautrock, Nufolk, Vaughn Williams
