Teach English in India - Volunteer

Requirements:
TEFL Scotland certificate

We are recruiting TEFL teachers for a Scottish charity who have built a school in India. They aim to improve the future prospects of local children through education, including the teaching of English to pupils and teachers. The school is a Kindergarten and Primary School up to the age of 10 and is based in the south-east state of Tamil Nadu.

The charity is looking for volunteers to stay and teach English in India for a period of one to three months. Earlier volunteers have benefitted the school and the quality of English teaching greatly. The school follows the Indian curriculum, though some teachers had training in the Scottish teaching model.

Accommodation will be provided free of charge, with a well-appointed flat within the school for two volunteer English teachers. There are no programme fees associated with this opportunity – you would only need to pay for flights, food and insurance.
