Teach English in Ecuador

Requirements

Positions are ONLY available to TEFL Scotland graduates
NO charge for the placement service.

Ecuador is the second-smallest country in South America but its range of offerings is no less than astounding and you will find nowhere on earth with so much natural diversity. Teaching in Ecuador will be a fantastic and rewarding experience.

The positions are in schools in Loja, the capital of Ecuador, Machala and Cuenca. Loja is one of the county’s oldest and most cultured cities in the whole of Ecuador, home to a nationally renowned University.

Teaching in Ecuador: language schools

Overview

Salary: Approximately $400 per month (average salary in Ecuador is $150-$200)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Bonus: If you commit to a one year’s contract your visa will be secured and paid for by the school in Ecuador
Housing: Not included
Airfare: Not included
Health Insurance: Not included
Holiday: Not included
Working/teaching hours: 30 or more teaching hours per week

All students int he schools are divided by age and level. Learners who are under 18 receive 1 hour of lessons daily and this will last for 5 months. Adults over 18 will receive 2 hours of lessons Monday-Friday lasting for two and a half months. The school is now a preparation centre for Cambridge University Exams and you will be providing conversation classes at a University in Ecuador.
