TEFL Scotland is currently recruiting for TEFL jobs in Taiwan, for teachers interested in teaching English at language schools on the island.
With the demand for English high, new teaching positions are available all over the Island of Taiwan every month, so you can arrange to start when it is best for you.
The students in Taiwan can range from all ages and levels. 70% of classes are for children, and a week of young learners training will be given on arrival in Taiwan, in addition to full support and training during your time there.
Children are learning English as part of their everyday education and 70% of the classes taught are for children, with other classes usually being business English. Class size varies from one on one lessons to groups as large as 18, with an average group size of 12. A week of young learners training will be given upon arrival and you will have full training and support throughout your time in Taiwan. You will be assigned a western academic manager and there is a Teacher Development Scheme for thos wishing to move into managerial roles, making this an excellent position for career advancement.

Overview
Salary: Competitive salary (NT$50,000 - NT$60,000 average monthly salary over the year)
Contract Duration: 1 year renewable contract
Bonus: Performance bonuses
Housing: Subsidised temporary accommodation and help finding 
permanent accommodation. Option of shared apartments with other teachers and the school will loan teachers the initial housing deposit
Airfare: Included + airport pick up
Health Insurance: China doesn't have a national healthcare policy -sometimes a predetermined amount for medical costs is offered, and sometimes ex-pat travel medical insurance is covered by employer
Permits: Full work permit application
Holiday: 27 days holiday
Working/teaching hours: Regular 5 day working week
