This opportunity will give you the chance to spend a year gaining valuable teaching experience in a public school in Georgia while living in a country immersed in history and blessed with a Mediterranean climate.
Georgia offers a great variety of activities including brilliant skiing in the snowy mountains or sunbathing at the subtropical Black Sea shore. Georgians are renowned for their love of music, dance, theatre and cinema, so there's always lots to do in your free time, at weekends or when you are on holiday.

Overview
Salary: You will earn a salary of 500 GEL - Georgia Lari,
Contract Duration: 12 months with extensions on a yearly basis. Preferably 12 month contracts but 6 month contracts can be arranged.
Bonus: Those who teach for one schools year will receive another set of flights to go home during the holiday season for one month.
Housing: Teachers will live with Georgian families - all teachers will have their own room and in some cases their own bathroom. Home stay families may provide meals, but teachers will be expected to pay for some meals. All home stay situations have been screened and vetted by the Georgian government.
Airfare: Volunteers will receive free flights to and from their home country (pre-paid by the Georgian government), as well as another round trip ticket to go home during the holiday season for a month for those who teach for 1 school year.
Health Insurance: Included
Holiday: 1 month over holiday season
Working/teaching hours: 26 - 30 teaching hours per week
Location: The schools you may be teaching in will be in various locations throughout the country of Georgia.
Departure dates: 15th/30th of September, 15th/30th of October, 15th/30th of November, 15th of December.
The number of students in the schools throughout Georgia can range from 100 – 250, and generally classes will have 10-20 students. You will be co-teaching along with a local Georgian English teacher. The Georgian teacher will know the curriculum for learning and as a native English teacher you will be able to use your TEFL skills throughout lessons. TEFL teachers will receive 7 days training and orientation at the start of their placement.
