The Teaching Young Learners course from TEFL Scotland is suitable for newly qualified EFL teachers and also experienced tutors.

What are the benefits of the 30-Hour Teaching Young Learners Course?

Teaching young people up to the age of 16 can be challenging but it is also one of the most rewarding TEFL experiences, with the potential to make a real difference to the lives of others.
We teach you how to use the most successful teaching methods for this particular age-group like interactive videos, fun activities and group involvement with tutor-assessed modules which will give you the skills you need to get the best from your young learners.
Also, unique to TEFL Scotland, we've included a unit which covers teaching to very young learners of between 3-5 years. 
Along with indispensable lesson plans and tips to take with you, having your TEFL qualification in teaching young learners will give you the edge over other candidates and make you much more employable.

Requirements

You must have some initial TEFL training before you can take this advanced course.
Native speaker or very near native speaker will be accepted.

Duration

It is a 30-hour course. We give you up to 3 months to complete the course, allowing you to fit study around work or school.

How the course works

You can use any internet enabled device to do the course from the obvious PC and laptop, to tablets and smart phones. 
We take you step by step through the course with easy to follow guidance from an online tutor.

We encourage discussion and the sharing of experiences between our students and know that this can lead to a more successful outcome in terms of learning. We will always encourage you to think about what you have learned and share with others while you can also read about the experiences of your peers and interact with them.
After you complete the course, you will receive your 30-Hour Teaching English to Young Learners certificate in the post. Don’t forget to complete your feedback which is a course pre-requisite.
