Asia is an exceptionally popular TEFL destination. With growing economies and huge populations, there is a massive demand for native English speakers. The vast differences in culture between Scotland and countries such as Japan, Korea and Thailand are also very attractive to Scots who fancy a complete change of pace.
Requirements for TEFL jobs in Asia can vary widely across the region. Some countries require a university degree for visas, while others don't require any formal educational qualifications, just a TEFL certificate.
