English First run a number of schools across China and are looking to add to their team with new enthusiastic and creative teachers to provide engaging lessons to students of a wide age range, from young learners to adults.
It’s an exciting time to be living and teaching in China in 2011, the economy continues to boom and the demand for English teachers is stronger than ever. Explore a country famous for its ancient traditions and civilizations, generous and friendly people and delicious food. Immerse yourself in a country which has managed to balance the Ying and Yang of past customs and cultures with modern development and exciting changes.
Your main responsibilities would be teaching for a maximum of 20 hours per week, lesson planning, assisting in the placement testing and interviewing of new students, attending centre social events and helping with the running of clubs such as conversation clubs.
Salary: 6,000-9,000 RMB depending on qualifications, experience
and location of school
Accommodation: Free, Western-style accommodation is provided near the school
Other benefits: Flight allowance (half after 6 months, half after 12), legal work visa, health insurance, 12 days public holdays plus 10 extra days holiday, ongoing training and academic support, promotion opportunities.
