TEFL Scotland is currently recruiting for TEFL jobs in China.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your TEFL Scotland certificate to gain valuable teaching experience in the highly desirable country of China. Teaching English in China is a life-changing experience, in which you will find yourself fully embracing the country’s rich culture, remarkable history and delicious cuisine. From remote mountain tops to cities bustling with people, energy and colour, China really has something for everyone. Come and experience it for yourself!
Schools offer a competitive salary, providing you with a good standard of living in China. Generally, teachers find their salary gives them a purchasing power in China that is stronger than in their home country. It is possible to live comfortably and still save half your salary. Your accommodation will be provided free, though utility bills are your responsibility. These usually cost around 200RMB (£20) per month. All accommodation is fully furnished to a Western standard and only a short walk from the school in which you will be teaching.
With these TEFL jobs in China, vacancies are available across the country in many locations. You could be teaching any, or several, of different age groups ranging from 4 years old, to business English students or one-on-one lessons. Average class sizes are between 8-12 students, allowing a comprehensive and fun learning environment.
You will initially have a one year contract, working 40-hours per week. Plus, if you fall in love with China - which we suspect you may well do – these jobs offer excellent opportunities for promotion to positions such as senior teachers and Director of Studies.
Teaching English in China

Pay: 6000-9000 RMB per month
Accommodation included: Yes
Other Benefits: Medical Insurance, Work Visa, 12 days paid holiday (during 1-year contract) plus around 2 weeks per year of public holidays.
