These TEFL jobs in China are based in the city of Xuzhou, situated in the north-west of the Jiangsu Province. Xuzhou is one of main transportation hubs in China, making travelling stress-free and letting you explore the rest of the country to your heart’s content! The oldest city in Jiangsu Province, Xuzhou is one of the best places in China to get an insight into the culture and history of the Han Dynasty. The beautifully adorned underground tombs are certainly worth a visit, along with the city's Archaeological Museum. Many items in the museum's collection are those from the Han dynasty, and were unearthed in or around Xuzhou. As well as history and culture, this city is great if you love trying new and exciting cuisine. It has distinctive, delicious and hearty cuisine, often lamb based, seasoned with coriander and chili.
To really enjoy this TEFL job, you must have a genuine passion for teaching children, as you would be working with 3-12 year olds. Class sizes tend to be 5-8 children, who are taught English over 3 progressing levels. In levels 1 and 2 children are taught common words and once at level 3, vowels and consonants. The school uses American books to aid in lessons.
