It is no surprise that teaching English in Italy is a much desired option when you think of all that this amazing country has to offer. It is hard to resist the lure of renowned cities such as Rome, Venice, Florence and Milan, with their world-famous sights and the opportunity to live and work here is sure to be the experience of a lifetime. This is not to deny the delights of the Italian countryside, where you can experience the real Italian life away from the tourist bustle. This is a country with plenty of style, from the world’s most famous fashion houses, truly stunning architecture and art, and a beautiful natural landscape all the way from the Mediterranean coast to the majestic Alps. The cuisine is world famous, the climate is mild and pleasant and the people are friendly, meaning that there is so much to make you fall in love with Italy.
This TEFL job is in the city of Treviso in northern Italy. Described as “Little Venice”, Treviso’s position at the confluence of two rivers and its pretty historical centre make it a very beautiful place in which to live. It is a city that has lots of history dating back to ancient times and sights to match, with a gorgeous medieval main street, a stunning cathedral with famous frescoes, and Piazza Renaldi with its trio of aristocratic palaces. You are also only 30km from the famous beauty of Venice, while the local airport is also a favourite of budget airlines, so there is plenty of opportunity for trips home or further afield.
In this TEFL job in Italy, you would be teaching English to young learners aged 11-15 years old. These lessons will be focusing primarily on conversational English. The school is looking for a committed teacher to fill the position for several months through to May 2012.

Hours: 20 hours per week
Contract length: 8th Jan 2012-End of May
Pay: 1200 Euros per month after tax
Accommodation: No, but assistance provided
Other benefits: Help organising accommodation and bus pass provided
