TEFL Jobs in Mexico
Requirements:
- 50-hour TEFL Scotland Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not necessary
TEFL Scotland is currently recruiting for TEFL jobs in Mexico.
You would be based in Metepec, a city adjacent to the state capital Toluca and around an hour from Mexico City by bus. The city offers a quaint historic town centre with handcraft shops, weekly markets, bars, restaurants and live music venues. The modern area of the city, where the school is based, offers everything you would expect of a medium sized city, including movie theatres, shopping malls and a skating rink. There are museums and theatres in the city, and transport to Toluca and Mexico City means there are plenty of things to do.
You would be teaching business English and general English to all ages. Lessons run at both the school and client’s facilities. Class sizes are tiny at the school, with a maximum of four students to a class and most being individual lessons. Classes at client companies are normally between 5 and 12 students. Most teachers earn between 1500 and 2000 pesos per week, which is more than enough to live on in the region.
