POSITIONS FULL
If you are a TEFL Scotland graduate and are looking for some teaching work at a summer school, then this position is for you.
The summer school is attended by students from all over the world. The students will be aged between 13 and 17 attending short courses of just a few weeks. The students will be attending English classes in the morning and will be doing excursions and activities in the afternoon. As a teacher, you will just be doing the lessons.
Hours
- 15 teaching hours a week
- 5 hours preparation and admin
- 8.30am - 12.30pm
Location
Hamilton: Hamilton Campus of the University of the West of Scotland
Edinburgh: Loretto School Campus, Musselburgh
Glasgow: City College
Accommodation
The positions are non-residential and you would have to find your own accommodation.
Dates
Hamilton: 20th June - 31st July,
Glasgow: 20th June - 31st July
Edinburgh: 10th July - 14th August
Salary
£260 per week for 20 hours (15 teaching & 5 Planning & Prep)
Requirements
- Applicants with TEFL Scotland certificates may apply, preference will be given tio those with 100 or 110 hours of training.
- Degree preferred
- Experience preferred but not essential for the right candidate
Teacher support
Teachers are provided with full support, including guidelines, Teacher’s Handbook and a wide variety of teaching materials. There is an in-house syllabus and materials. However, a full range of supplementary resources are also provided. You'll receive a teacher’s handbook which includes a syllabus, pre-excursion lessons, project work ideas and testing procedures.
