TEFL Scotland is currently recruiting English teachers for TEFL jobs in Vietnam. The cost of living in Vietnam is low, but the fast growing economy, particularly in the main cities, means that you will never have trouble finding things to do. If you have a degree from an accredited university and any of our TEFL certificates, this could be your chance to live and work at the heart of an exotic culture.

In this position, you would be working in an academy based in Ho Chi Minh City, teaching English to children from kindergarten up to eighteen years old. The school is bilingual, teaching both English and Vietnamese classes. This offers you the chance to extend your teaching beyond reading, writing and speaking to suit your interests and abilities. Teachers are also permitted to take on private pupils or classes if they are looking for extra work.

These positions are best suited to someone already in Vietnam or planning to travel there, as in-person interviews are preferred, however applications will still be accepted from UK-based applicants interviewing via Skype.

Teaching English in Vietnam

Start time: Early July
Contract: 2-3 month contracts, renewed automatically throughout the 10 month school year
Hours: 22-24 hours of classes per week
Teaching time: School hours, Monday to Friday. No classes on evening or weekends.
Pay: $14.40-$22.00 per hour
Additional benefits: Full orientation training on arrival in Vietnam
