This position involves teaching English to children at a school in Ukraine. The school provides a range of English language programmes at various ages and levels, with most students being between the ages of 4 and 16, with levels from complete beginner onwards. Classes are small, with 10 students being the normal maximum. The School takes into account as far as possible a teacher’s strengths and weaknesses and preferences when timetabling classes, but it is likely teachers will find themselves teaching at least part of the full range offered. Some classes of adults are also taught at the school. Teachers work a 40-hour week which includes a guaranteed minimum of 25 hours’ teaching. If required by the School, teachers may be asked to teach up to an additional 5 hours a week; in the event that this happens, you will be paid for the extra teaching hours.

Salary: The salary for a 40-hour work week is €1,000 (net) a month; extra hours are paid at €12 an hour.
Housing: Shared accommodation provided
Airfare: Travel allowance of €240 a year to cover the costs of your flights

Holiday: An annual leave entitlement of 20 days
Working/teaching hours: A 40-hour week, with a minimum of 25 hours teaching
Other: A multi-entry business visa and Russian lessons are also included
