Volunteering with TEFL
Volunteering to teach English abroad and in the UK is a popular option for some TEFL teachers. It's a great way to help out others and make a real difference to people, particularly those who may not get much of an education otherwise.
Using your TEFL qualification to volunteer is a handy way of travelling and teaching for shorter periods. While you don't get paid, you may get accommodation or other assistance. It is also a way to help your local community in the UK.

When recruiting for volunteer positions, we aim to avoid major programmes with costly fees. Usually, you will have to pay for flights, visas, insurance and incidental expenses, though many volunteering positions include accommodation and, in some cases, your meals.
