The TEFL Team
Unlike other TEFL training organisations, with TEFL Scotland, you can be assured our courses are delivered and run by experienced TEFL professionals.
The TEFL Scotland team has over 20 years of experience in language schools and teacher training. Joe Hallwood, co-founder of TEFL Scotland, has worked in teacher training for over 12 years, developing and delivering courses for other organisations in the UK, the USA and Ireland. He also ran the TEFL department at a leading travel company in England for many years.
TESOL and TEFL courses in Scotland
Jennifer MacKenzie, Admin and TEFL Advice (co-founder): "I have taught inGreece and France and am still working in TEFL, but now I'm in my favourite country in the world."

Joe Hallwood, Training and Course development (co-founder): "After teaching abroad and in the UK, I have spent years developing and delivering TEFL training courses in the UK, Ireland and the USA. It's great (unbelievable) to actually settle down and still be in TEFL and it's fantastic to be able to offer TEFL training in the way I have always wanted to."
The Finance Guy, Allan MacKenzie, finance and other stuff: "I love the buzz of the office, but a spreadsheet is a spreadsheet at the end of the day."
Operations and recruitment, Delia Fraser, gets the courses organised: "People who work in TEFL are a little different! I guess that's why I fit right in!"
Eilidh Stanners, administration and sales, sends out all the letters and brochures that get popped through your letterbox as well as dealing with bookings and various other vital admin things. She'll be sorely missed when she leaves in September to study Sociology at Glasgow University!
Tea enthusiast, Erin MacKenzie, deals with operations, marketing and PR and any other tasks Joe puts her up to. Erin's also leaving in September for Glasgow to study English with aspirations to teach in South Korea one day.
Flora Pennington, marketing and general administration, helps out with advertising and promotion for the website. Flora is on her gap year before leaving to study Philosophy at Stirling University next year.
Becky Rees handles administration and operations, answering and helping out with your questions over the phone. After working all over the world for many years, Becky is happy to be settling down, back in the highlands.
