Meet the staff at TEFL towers:
Jennifer MacKenzie, (co-founder)Head of Operations and TEFL Expert: "I have taught in Greece and France and am still working in TEFL, but now I'm in my favourite country in the world." Jennifer is one of our TEFL Experts, whose experience is put to use supporting our graduates with TEFL careers advice.
Joe Hallwood, (co-founder) Training, Course development and TEFL Expert: "After teaching abroad and in the UK, I have spent years developing and delivering TEFL training courses in the UK, Ireland and the USA. It's great (unbelievable) to actually settle down and still be in TEFL and it's fantastic to be able to offer TEFL training in the way I have always wanted to."
Tea enthusiast, Erin MacKenzie, assists in marketing. Her design skills are responsible for most of the pretty graphics you see on the site. She also handles copywriting, online marketing and print ads. She juggles her work for us with completing a degree in English and preparing to head off to teach in Europe.
TEFL Advisor Flora Pennington is the administration queen who keeps everything running smoothly at TEFL HQ. She handles certification and ILA funding, along with a myriad of other jobs. She will be heading off after the summer to study for a degree in Philosophy and hopes to make use of her TEFL qualification in Thailand.
Blabheinn Mackintosh works in operations and is responsible for sending out all communications from the office in a fancy TEFL Scotland envelope. A tan enthusiast, her plans are to head off to Australia in the future.
Amy Hanson, resident marketing ninja, handles promotion of TEFL Scotland through advertising, events and constantly fiddling with the website. As a Literature and Drama graduate, her experience is put to use “livening up the office”, and her teaching qualification is put to use teaching theatre skills at a local youth theatre.
Alison Kelly, TEFL Advisor, customer service and sales, is your first port of call for any questions about TEFL courses and TEFL jobs. Coming to TEFL from the travel industry, her time working in an animal refuge in Bolivia made her a friend to baby monkeys everywhere.
Originally from Sunnny South Africa, TEFL Advisor Noula Kranidiotis handles customer service and sales. She comes to TEFL from the travel industry, having worked for South African Airways as a flight attendant and loves anything to do with the outdoors, adventure and travel."
Holly Bannerman is our Online Marketing Assistant. She is responsible for updating the website with the latest jobs and blog articles and making partnerships with other websites.
