Sri Lanka is a stunningly beautiful island with pristine beaches, exciting wildlife, ancient architectural wonders and magnificent Buddhist temples. The country is home to exceptionally friendly people with a rich traditional culture and heritage sites dating back centuries. Located in the Indian ocean, it is a little piece of tropical paradise that delights all travellers who visit it.
TEFL Scotland is currently recruiting a volunteer English teacher for a very special position in Sri Lanka. Based in North Central Sri Lanka, you would stay for free at a resort hotel while teaching English at the nearby village school. There is a company English project currently in place at the school run by the company and you would be a part of an initiative to improve spoken and conversational English. This rewarding position offers a chance to make a difference to the future prospects of children at the school.
This volunteering opportunity does not have any programme fees, meaning you would only be responsible for expenses such as flights, insurance and spending money. You would have your own comfortable room at the hotel with meals also arranged for you. The hotel has excellent facilities, including wireless internet, multilingual staff and a fitness centre.
A committed, reliable and efficient qualified English teacher is being sought for this amazing position. This is a perfect opportunity to visit a beautiful part of the world and, as the contract runs until the beginning of August, this could be your working holiday of a lifetime!
